Today we are faced with a spectacular vernal double-whammy as Easter segues right into April Fools’ Day. Now, having come down from our sugar highs, we head back to work / school / whatever and amuse ourselves by playing practical jokes on our hapless coworkers.
If you are cooler than me, and people actually visit your website, you could try making with the funny by putting up an amusing fake website for the day. Oddly enough, even if I had readers, this would be somewhat of an impossibility for this site today because All my bandwidth are belong to Wil Wheaton.
That’s right, the beloved star of stage and screen has a (wildly?) popular website that sits on the very same server as that of your’s truly. Apparently, Mr. Wheaton has chosen April Fools’ Day as the day to break some important news. Whether this is all a prank or not, he has undoubtedly piqued the curiosity of the geek community with the possibility that Wesley Crusher might make a comeback in several episodes of Enterprise. The resulting traffic to his weblog has managed to keep this server from serving pages from any other site.
