I know I’ve been quiet lately (again), but I’m working on something really cool for the holidays that’s going to involve all of you (and hopefully your friends, family, and neighbors too). I’m not going to say anything specific about it until I make it official, but I will say this for now…
If you’re about to buy holiday gifts online, please wait just a couple more days!

After the cold meds wore off and I thought about this a little more, I’ve realized that I just don’t have enough time to do this The Right Way™ this year, so I’m going to shelve this idea for next year.

Yea! You can’t tell us to hold out on shopping for our x-mas presents because you have a better way……and then crap out on us like this. Come on…get back up and let’s try this again.

Here’s what I wanted to do…
If you ever buy something from the links I put in my “Stuff I Recommend” section from Amazon.com, I get a commission of somewhere between 5% and 15% from the Amazon Associates Program.
Anyway, I thought it would be really neat to link a whole bunch of items in a store page and have a lot of people do their Christmas shopping from my site. If they bought those items, I would get a cut.
Then, the whole idea was to donate whatever I make during the month to a charity (like the American Cancer Society or something).
Basically, people would be doing something they have to do anyway (i.e., buying Christmas gifts), and we would make free money (in the form of Amazon Associates Program commissions), and we could totally just give it away to people who really need it!
Anyway, I’m afraid I thought of this too late. I want to be able to make a really kick-ass store page and have all my online friends in the “blogosphere” hype it up to get loads of people to participate. Unfortunately, with only a couple more weeks before Christmas, I just don’t think there’s enough time to do this right…
