Don’t be silly, that is just an old wives’ tale. You probably get them for going outside without a hat on (it’s a well known fact that a sunburned scalp is the first sign of an on-coming cold). Either that or from public toilet seats.
At least that is what my grandmother would say…then again, she is batty.

Public toilet seats are the gateway of all contagion!!
I stopped kissing public toilet seats years ago…
